Falkland Community Development Trust, a Scottish registered Company Limited by Guarantee, was incorporated on 31st October 2016 (company registration number SC549024).
We are a registered Scottish Charity, number SC046949 and run entirely by volunteers.
The Trust and its predecessor (Falkland Village Hall Trust) was borne out of a small group of local people who wanted to work in partnership with local residents, groups and organisations to improve community health and well-being.
The Trust is governed by a voluntary Board of Director/Trustees made up of local people who have a wide range of complementary skills, local knowledge and life experience. We have no paid staff members, but do have a number of local people who regularly volunteer their time e.g. to run Falkland Community Library, Falkland Community Hall and other projects throughout the year.
Membership
Anyone within the community can apply to become of member of the Trust, simply complete the Application Form and hand it in to the library.
Volunteer
We are always looking to expand our volunteer resource. If you have ideas for projects or want to play an active part in existing ones to meet the needs of the community and make Falkland flourish why not get in touch.
